Last week we were very privileged to be invited to the opening of this stunning exhibition A fine possession: Jewellery and Identity at The Powerhouse Museum, Ultimo. It features over 700 beautiful and very individual pieces of jewellery, each with a story to tell.

| All the items on display are from Australian collections, apart from a copy of the Queen's Wattle brooch - the real thing is coming in January. The exhibition also features a fascinating collection of mourning jewellery that includes many early and rare pieces. A fine possession: Jewellery and Identity is on at the Powerhouse Museum until 20th September 2015. |
