Tea Services, Tea & Coffee Pots

A silver tea service usually comprises a teapot, sugar basin and milk jug, sometimes with the addition of a coffee pot. Dating from the late 17th century or possibly earlier, the taking of the tea was considered a women's domain. A tea service is often part of the service and sometimes there are even 2 teapots, one for black tea and one for green tea. 

The love of making and sharing tea is a tradition which continues to this day.
