All the items on display are from Australian collections, apart from a copy of the Queen's Wattle brooch - the real thing is coming in January.
The exhibition also features a fascinating collection of mourning jewellery that includes many early and rare pieces.

Last week we were very privileged to be invited to the opening of this stunning exhibition A fine possession: Jewellery and Identity at The Powerhouse Museum, Ultimo. It features over 700 beautiful and very individual pieces of jewellery, each with a story to tell.
General admission is $20, however we have limited complementary tickets available in the shop.
